Top 10 Samuel L. Jackson Movies

After a week off, Top 10 lists return with the best movies of one of my favorite actors, Sam Jackson. This isn’t totally random; it is because of his role in the Tarzan movie that came out last week, which is itself kind of random.  This was actually a tougher list than I expected it to be and actually has a surprise or two in it.

10. The Negotiator

– I think this is an underrated movie with some great moments between Jackson and Kevin Spacey. Definitely worth a watch.

– Great movie? Nah. But I always have fun watching it.

8. The Hateful 8

– A lot of people were disappointed with this one.  I was not one of those people. I enjoyed this newest collaboration between Tarantino and Jackson.

7. Coach Carter

– One of the best basketball movies ever with some truly powerful moments.

6. Captain America 2: The Winter Solider

– While I like The Avengers a little more and almost put that in this spot, I decided this one deserved the spot a little more because Jackson as Nick Fury was a more important part of this movie.

5. Pulp Fiction

– Believe it or not, I almost put this even lower on the list.  I think it is a little overrated. However, Jackson’s story arc is my favorite in the movie, so it broke the top 5.

4. Jurassic Park

– I know some of you are shocked by this but I have to be honest with myself and realize that he is by no means a critical part of this movie. Therefore, this time one of my favorite movies doesn’t make the number one spot it deserves.

3. Unbreakable

– Back when M. Night Shyamalan made good movies, he made this gem of a superhero movie featuring Jackson as the aptly named Mr. Glass.

2. Die Hard: With a Vengeance

– By far the best of the Die Hard sequels and in a large part due to Jackson.

1. Django Unchained

– He goes with a villainous role of sorts in this one and is a big reason this movie is so good.

Honorable Mentions: Rules of Engagement, Basic, Unthinkable, The Other Guys
