We are down to four days until The Last Jedi is released. To help fill in the time, here are my favorite heroes from the saga.
10. Mace Windu
Mace gets the last spot because come on, it’s Samuel L. Jackson in Star Wars. He demanded his own lightsaber color, which is pretty awesome if you ask me.
9. Qui-Gon Ginn
Despite Liam Neeson being wasted on one movie, his character has tons of layers that are unexplored. Though he is pretty much the reason that Darth Vader exists and millions of people die, so maybe he doesn’t deserve this spot.
8. Poe Dameron
One of the most charismatic and charming characters in the new trilogy. Oh and he’s a pretty good pilot.
7. Chewbacca
It’s actually pretty crazy how much emotion is portrayed from a character that doesn’t do anything but growl. Or roar. Or whatever he does.
6. Yoda
The most powerful Jedi to ever live falls this low due to being butchered by the prequels.
5. Obi-Wan Kenobi
Though only alive in one of the original movies, his impact is felt in all of them. And Ewan McGregor’s performance is one of the better aspects of the prequels.
4. Rey
Despite what some people say, I think there’s a ton of depth and mystery behind this character. I can’t wait to see where they take it.
3. Leia
The brains behind the heroes in the original movies. And does a good bit of fighting herself. RIP Carrie Fisher. You are missed.
2. Luke Skywalker
Despite getting off to a rough (whiny) start, he goes through many progressions in his character and is very enjoyable by the end.
1. Han Solo
Harrison Ford steals every scene he is in as Han. You can’t take your eyes off his charming personality and he always comes in with the best (and funniest) lines.
Honorable Mentions: Jyn Erso, Finn, Lando
Discuss your favorites in the comments. I’m sure you can guess what list is coming tomorrow.
