After the heroes post yesterday, it’s only fitting that we now look at the big baddies in the Star Wars saga.
Though never given credit by any of his superiors throughout the movie, Ben Mendelsohn gives a great performance in Rogue One to sneak on this list.
9. General Grievous
Though extremely underdeveloped and underused, it’s hard to go against a guy who uses 4 lightsabers at once (even though that happens for all of about 4.2 seconds).
8. Boba Fett
A fan favorite, and Han Solo’s nemesis. Falls low on the list due to not being in the movies all that much and having a terrible death.
Mystery still surrounds him, which is part of the reason he’s so fascinating.
6. Storm Troopers
Sure, their markmanship needs some work, but there’s no denying how iconic they are.
Speaking of performances making the villain even better, Peter Cushing steals all of his scenes in A New Hope. The iconic villain is then brought back through computer magic to positive results in Rogue One.
4. Kylo Ren
Could rise higher depending on what happens in the next two movies, especially if he becomes less whiny.
3. Darth Maul
Completely wasted and killed off too soon and in a cheesy way, he’s fun to watch on screen. Especially the first time he ignites that double-bladed lightsaber.
2. Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious
It’s hard to beat the guy behind almost every bad thing that happens for the first 6 movies.
1. Darth Vader
Not only the best and most iconic Star Wars villain, but one of the best and most iconic villains ever.
