Top 10 Christmas Movies- Jordan

Christmas is only 3 days away so yes, you need to start your shopping. One thing that inevitably comes with Christmas is Christmas movies. Some people love them, some people hate them. I’m not a huge fan which is why this list is full of movies that you can argue aren’t Christmas movies. Except number one. That one is definitely a Christmas movie.

10. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

These first couple are cheats because they are technically just short TV movies. But they were staples in my house around Christmas time and nostalgia is always a factor.

9. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

My mom would kill me if I didn’t include this one. And no I’m not talking about the awful Jim Carrey movie.

8. Gremlins

It doesn’t hold up super well but it’s still an enjoyable movie that takes place during Christmas.

7. A Christmas Story

Overrated but no doubt a classic.

6. The Santa Clause

A 90s movie that feels very 90s. But that’s ok because it still works for this 90s kid.

5. Elf

I’ve seen this one countless times, which is probably why it isn’t nearly as funny as it used to be for me. Because of this I thought it should be much lower on the list, but my girlfriend told me to put it at number 5 at the very least. So we compromised, and here it is at number 5…

4. Home Alone

Another 90s classic that is still funny to me. I just rewatched it the other day and there are still some good laughs. And yes, Kevin is definitely a psychopath.

3. Lethal Weapon

Yep. Takes place at Christmas and one of the best action movies ever.

2. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

No question, the funniest Christmas movie out there.

1. Die Hard

We shouldn’t even be arguing about it. This is a Christmas movie. And my favorite movie ever, therefore making it my favorite Christmas movie by default.
