Death Wish is Bruce Willis newest crime action movie to hit the theaters. It’s about a home invasion that leads Bruce Willis on a killing spree to get rid of the men involed in the home invation, and other random criminals. Now this film is directed by Eli Roth, so you kind of already know the quality in movie you are paying to see. Bruce Willis didn’t need much time to transform into character than throwing on a hoodie.
This film does have editing and acting performance problems. The film goes from regular scenes, to what could be a YouTube clip from a radio station. One other thing that bothered me was that Bruce Willis mood swings from smiling in one scene, and depressed in the next.
One positive is that the Eli Roth did what he does best when it comes to the death scenes. Two in preticular will be in the back of my mind for a while. Also, the concept of why Bruce Willis is on this revenge rampage hits home being a police officer. What is right or wrong when it comes to taking the law in your own hands. At the end of the day, this movie would of been better if it was a straight to Netflix movie. It does have fun moments but overall, Bruce Willis did this for an easy paycheck. I’ll rate this 5/10 since there are some entertaining parts.
