Today on the show we talk with a State Probation and Parole officer about the finer points of offenders and their bad decisions as well as handcuffs and their use as parade batons.
Probation is a fairly misunderstood concept among most people not associated with the Law Enforcement profession. In this episode we talk about levels of offenders and the distinctions between individuals who are sentenced and serving probation as a part of their sentence and individuals who are on probation as a condition of their pre-trial release. As a general rule in most states sentences will end up with half of the time served being served on “paper” in various levels of probation or supervision.
