When I started this in June 2015, I just thought it was going to be a place to […]
Wow, a DC movie that I didn’t find completely underwhelming and disappointing.
In Justice League, some of DC’s most famous superheroes including Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman,
Superman, Aquaman, and Cyborg, team up to stop Earth’s next great threat- A CGI video game character named Steppenwolf. Pretty sure it’s not the “Magic Carpet Ride” band but still waiting for confirmation on that.
Now that’s how you do car chases.
Baby Driver is about a young man (Ansel Elgort) who works as a getaway driver for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey). After he meets and falls in love with a waitress (Lily James), he tries to get out of the criminal world. However, this proves to be more difficult than planned.
Best Marvel movie, like some are saying? Nah. Best Thor movie yet? Easily.
Thor Ragnarok is the 226th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the 435th superhero movie of the past 3 years. This one follows Thor in his third standalone feature, this time trying to make his way back home to save it from his evil sister. Oh, and he teams up with the Hulk, because… why not i guess?
I’ve been to McDonalds plenty of times in my life. Did I ever care about how it was founded? Nope. Did this movie make me more interested? Ehhh… it tries.
The Founder is about a man named Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) who does everything he can to
steal buy and control McDonalds. This leaves him at odds with the original owners, played by Nick Offerman and John Carroll Lynch.
I’m not sure what’s worse, the fact that I was supposed to do these weekly and haven’t done one in a month, or the fact that this was supposed to be released on Halloween… which was almost a week ago. Anyway, here’s the second edition of my favorite movie scenes, this one coming from a very recent movie.
Yep. Clowns are still terrifying.
It is an adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel. The movie focuses on the half of the book dealing with a group of children in the town of Derry who must face off against an evil, child-eating clown who also takes the form of anything the children fear most. The children must face their fears and join together to defeat the evil Pennywise and protect their town.
So, I’ve decided to start a new little series here on the site. I’ve been trying to think of new things to do after running low on Top 10 ideas. I may go back to that at some point, but for now I’m trying this: Sharing some of my personal favorite scenes in movies. The first one I’m looking at is the tank scene from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. See it here:
Well, if nothing else it’s probably the loudest movie I’ve ever seen.
Dunkirk details the harrowing true story from World War 2 where the Allies were forced to retreat from France after the Germans had surrounded them. This shows how 300,000 soldiers were evacuated even as they were picked off one at a time.
