My plan was to release this last week to coincide with the release of The Magnificent Seven, but unfortunately I didn’t have time. This week I have some time, so here are my favorite Denzel Washington movies, with a list of Honorable Mentions nearly as long as the actual list.
the magnificent seven
The original movie is my favorite western, so this one had a lot to live up to. But does it?
The Magnificent Seven follows a group of outlaws (led by Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt) who band together to protect a small town from an evil baron who wants the land the town sits on and will stop at nothing to get it.
We have a few trailers to talk about today. I kept intending to review the Warcraft one, but didn’t have time. But then the Magnificent Seven teaser came out and I still didn’t have time. Now the first Jason Bourne trailer is out and they have all piled up. So here are my thoughts on each. The trailers are also below, as always.
Now that we have finished looking back at 2015, it’s time to look ahead to 2016. Looking at the big name titles coming out next year, I see a lot of sequels. For better or worse, this list reflects that. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. I can’t help that they are making sequels that excite me. Obviously, we don’t know about all the movies coming out next year yet. For example, we usually don’t learn about movies that are awards contenders until shortly before their releases next fall/winter. Though they were in limited release in 2015, The Revenant and The Hateful 8 have yet to be released where I live, so they qualify for this list. Do they make the list? Keep reading to find out.
